Spring Hemp course offered at BCTC Winchester campus – ABC 36 News – WTVQ

Interest from the community and local hemp industry led to the development of a course centered around agriculture at Bluegrass Community and Technical College Workforce Solutions.

The Fall course has now ended, but a Spring course in being offered for anyone who is interested.

The course is designed to give a basic understanding of hemp agribusiness.

During the 9-hour course, students will learn the history of hemp, hemp identification, and hemp cultivation and processing as well as career options, marketable products and compliance.

Classes will meet at the BCTC Winchester-Clark County Campus, 2020 Rolling Hills Lane, Winchester, KY on Tuesdays, 6-9 p.m., Fed. 11-25, 2020. The cost is $295.
