Sonoma County planning commissioners are advancing a plan to allow cultivation of commercial Hemp to proceed.
The plan passed by a 4-1 vote would set guidelines for Hemp cultivation, including specific zones where it would be allowed. This ordinance follows a ban on Hemp cultivation that was set in place by supervisors in April of this year in order to by time to establish rules for the crop after the passage of the 2018 Farm Bill from congress. Supervisors will decide on the ordinance on December 16th.
