According to Steven Brown, CEO of Nothing But Hemp and Zach Rohr owner of Minny Grown, they have already donated 400 bottles of hand sanitizer to St. Paul Police.
Although, the pair stated that the 400 hand sanitizer is still not enough to meet the need for first responders and that they need more.
According to them, the Bloomington Police Department and United Health have also reached out for help.
Under an initiative called Fight Germs Together, Brown and Rohr are producing the hand sanitizer in Minny Grown’s Hemp processing plant.
Their goal is to raise $10,000.
All of the money pays for the ingredients and packaging needed to make 6,300 two-ounce bottles of hand sanitizer for police, firefighters and healthcare workers.
“We have to do all we can to protect the people who are working to protect us,” said Brown.
Brown and Rohr say being of service helps to calm the mind during these uncertain times.
Brown and Rohr have also added onto the Nothing But Hemp website a page to allow people to see the break down of cost when it comes to making hand sanitizer for first responders.
