The University of Illinois Extension in partnership with American Hemp Research will be hosting an Industrial Hemp Processing Summit in Roseville. The Summit is being held Monday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Roseville Community Center. Extension Educator, Phillip Alberti will have a 2019 review of industrial hemp in Illinois. Security Savings Bank and Thompson Insurance will cover what you need to know about financing and crop insurance. American Hemp Research CEO, Andy Huston will cover the cultivation and harvest of this potential new cash crop for producers in Illinois. Phylos Bioscience will be on hand to present a cultivation overview, products and plant breeding, followed by Marquis Energy that will cover extraction.
