DE PERE (NBC 26) — Wisconsin’s hemp business is booming and on Thursday, industry leaders shared some of their secrets.
Extension Brown County hosted a hemp education and networking event in De Pere.
Topics of discussion included growing and processing hemp and connecting growers to buyers.
“These have been really key, I think, to have people become more knowledgeable about hemp, especially the risks that come with it. It’s not something that you can get overnight success with,” said Brown County Extension Agriculture Educator Liz Binversie.
About 400 people attended Thursday’s event.
